Abstract

Der Beitrag beschreibt die mögliche Übertragung des im Jahr 2008 noch in den Anfängen steckenden neuen Forschungs-Infrastrukturparadigmas der "e-Science" auf die Geschichtswissenschaften. Er gibt erste Hinweise auf Literatur und Projekte und skizziert fachspezifische Ansatzpunkte und Entwicklungsperspektiven. Der Beitrag ist erschienen in: Von Nowgorod nach London. Studien zu Handel, Wirtschaft und Gesellschaft im mittelalterlichen Europa. Festschrift für Stuart Jenks zum 60. Geburtstag. Göttingen, Vandenhoeck & Ruprecht unipress, September 2008.
