Abstract

Der Beitrag beschreibt die mögliche Übertragung des im Jahr 2008 noch in den Anfängen steckenden neuen Forschungs-Infrastrukturparadigmas der "e-Science" auf die Geschichtswissenschaften. Er gibt erste Hinweise auf Literatur und Projekte und skizziert fachspezifische Ansatzpunkte und Entwicklungsperspektiven. Der Beitrag ist erschienen in: Von Nowgorod nach London. Studien zu Handel, Wirtschaft und Gesellschaft im mittelalterlichen Europa. Festschrift für Stuart Jenks zum 60. Geburtstag. Göttingen, Vandenhoeck & Ruprecht unipress, September 2008. ISBN 978-3-89971-446-3. S. 63-74. Es stehen zwei Textfassungen zur Verfügung: ein digitaler Sonderdruck der als Buch (s.o.) veröffentlichten Fassung (mit Deckblatt,Inhaltsverzeichnis des Bandes, originalen Seitenzahlen aber teilweise verschobenen Layoutelementen) s. http://kups.ub.uni-koeln.de/5255/ und die letzte preprint-Fassung des Autors (mit korrektem Layout aber ohne Seitenzahlen und Vorblättern).
