However, some decision-makers in companies discard digital transformation because they do not understand how it can be incorporated into their businesses. Therefore, academia, research centres, and technological clusters are responsible for building the infrastructures and providing the support and the training that will progressively change this mindset. This paper aims to report an experience on designing a training program to train the trainers under the digital transformation topic. To define strategies to understand better the companies (and professionals) needs and motivations and the requisites to deliver the training course, the focus group methodology was applied. In this paper, we present a training program methodology and structure that intend to respond to industrial requests and, in this way to accelerate the digital transformation of companies, especially SMEs.

This paper selected Hongquan Branch, Guangba Branch and Gongai Branch of Guangba Farm in Hainan province as study area and total of 327 samples were selected in the rubber plantation. The spatial distribution characters of rubber yield and five soil nutrients, including organic matter (OM), total nitrogen (TN), available phosphorus (AP), available potassium (AK), exchangeable calcium (Ga), were studied using traditional analysis method and geo-statistics analysis method. The results showed that: (1) The average value of rubber yield was 3.55 kg/hm2 with moderate spatial variability and the average values of OM, N, P, K and Ga were 11.65 g/kg, 0.07%, 16.23 mg/kg, 49.65 mg/kg and 84.44 mg/kg, respectively. Soil OM, TN, AK and Ga had moderate spatial variability but AP had strong spatial variability. (2) Rubber yield and soil total nitrogen (N) nutrient had strong spatial dependence; soil OM, AP, AK and Ga had moderate spatial dependence. (3) Based on the previous reports of normal range of soil nutrients, soil OM and TN nutrient content were very low in the studied rubber plantation of Guangba Farm. Therefore, more nitrogen fertilizer should be applied in the rubber plantation in future.

Indeed, as the laser-plane scanner takes the place of the cutting tool, the time allocated to measurement must be reduced, but not at detrimental of the quality. In this direction, this paper proposes a method for scan path planning in a 5-axis machine tool with the control of scanning overlap. This method is an adaptation of a method dedicated to a robot that has proved its efficiency for part inspection.

These transformations go beyond technological fixes and require fundamental changes in cognitive, relational, structural and functional aspects of agricultural systems. However, research on agricultural transformations fails to engage deeply with underlying social aspects such as differing perceptions of sustainability, uncertainties and ambiguities, politics of knowledge, power imbalances and deficits in democracy. In this paper, we suggest that conflict is one manifestation of such underlying social aspects. We present an original conceptualization and analytical framework, wherein conflict is recognized as an important motor for redistribution of power and leverage for social learning that—if addressed through a conflict transformation process—could potentially create a step-change in agricultural transformation towards greater sustainability. Our analysis, building on an extensive literature review and empirical case studies from around the world, suggests a novel approach to guide future transdisciplinary research that can support agricultural transformations towards sustainability.

The integration of social relationships between the components of systems has already been identified as a crucial issue for the future development of reference architec-tures. However, the current research lacks a global approach based on both consideration of the human as an integrated agent of the system and the use of social concept to characterize inter-agents' relationships. The purpose of this paper is to bring an overview of these aspects' consideration in the manufacturing control architecture and to outline some guidelines allowing to revise the architecture of reference PROSA.

One challenge is integrating sensors and actuators (and their controllers), modeled as IoT elements, and linking them to data analytics, management, and operations decision support functions or processes. Since legacy technology systems follow proprietary architectures, their integration into open service-oriented architectures (SOA) requires a strategy that maintains a high degree of reliability. This paper presents the strategy adopted to integrate legacy software in an open SOAto managean agri-food silos infrastructure. This approach follows the Informatics System of Systems (ISoS) idea and is based on the ISoS framework. A reference implementation concept is used to validate the (re)construction of legacy systems and make them ready for collaboration with agro-industry business partners considering their Enterprise Resource Planning.

Part 3: eBusiness; International audience; The characteristics of digital entrepreneurship and digital transformation and how they are related, is complex and important to understand in this digital age. Such an understanding of digital entrepreneurship is perceived as a key pillar for economic growth, job creation and innovation. However, a number of issues regarding digital entrepreneurship and digital transformation are prevalent, inhibiting digital entrepreneurs to optimise the advantages that digital entrepreneurship contributes towards business value. Therefore, the aim of this research paper is to investigate digital entrepreneurship and digital transformation, their characteristics and inter-relationships. Data extracted and analysed through a structured analysis process, recognises and discusses the characteristics of digital entrepreneurship and digital transformation. The characteristics are reported by employing the Dynamic Capabilities Theory as the structure. By understanding the characteristics of digital entrepreneurship and digital transformation, individuals and organisations may either create new business ventures or transform existing businesses through the development of novel digital technologies or the innovative application of such technologies.
