U sklopu Projekta Hrvatski iseljenički tisak (u daljnjem tekstu Projekt HIT), Odsjeka za informacijske i komunikacijske znanosti Filozofskoga fakulteta Sveučilišta u Zagrebu, u suradnji s Nacionalnom i sveučilišnom knjižnicom u Zagrebu, digitaliziraju se publikacije hrvatskih iseljenika, zasad, iz Australije i Novoga Zelanda. U tom je smislu neobično važna i suradnja s hrvatskim iseljeničkim zajednicama u navedenim zemljama jer se za publikacije koje nisu izvan autorskog prava, u sklopu Projekta HIT, prikupljaju dozvole autora ili nasljednika. Suradnja s Nacionalnom i sveučilišnom knjižnicom u Zagrebu i s hrvatskim iseljenicima urodila je s 19 digitaliziranih publikacija do veljače 2022. godine. U izlaganju će se prikazati digitalizirane publikacije prema bibliografskim značajkama koje će se, potom, usporediti s bibliografskim značajkama publikacija popisanih u bibliografijama čija je izradba u softveru Koha sastavni dio Projekta HIT. Temeljem iznesene analize, izložit će se spoznaje o budućim izazovima te budućem tijeku digitalizacije publikacija hrvatskih iseljenika iz Australije i Novoga Zelanda.

DARIAH, the Digital Research Infrastructure for the Arts and Humanities, is a large user community that gathers scientists across Europe from the research field of the Arts and Humanities (A). The aim of DARIAH is to enhance and support digitally-enabled research and teaching across the Arts and Humanities in Europe. The objective of DARIAH is to develop, maintain and operate a research infrastructure for ICT-based research practices. The DARIAH infrastructure aims to become a fully connected and effective network of tools, information, people and methodologies for investigating, exploring and supporting research across the broad spectrum of the Digital Humanities. To achieve this goal, a significant amount of effort has to be devoted to the improvement of the current infrastructure. A part of this effort is the EGI-DARIAH Competence Centre (EGI-DARIAH CC), established within the EGI-Engage Horizon2020 project. The EGI-DARIAH CC aims at bridging the gap between the DARIAH user community and the European e-Infrastructure, mainly those provided by the EGI community. To achieve this goal, EGI-DARIAH CC focuses on strengthening the collaboration between the DARIAH user community and EGI by deploying A applications in the EGI Federated cloud and increasing the number of e-Science services and applications, as well as raising awareness of A researchers about the advantages and benefits of e-Infrastructure by providing end-user support and organizing training events. Considering that the DARIAH community, as well as the general A research public, is very specific in their requirements and needs on e-Infrastructure, one of the first actions of the EGI DARIAH CC was to collect all relevant information about the DARIAH research requirements. The collection of the required information was conducted via a comprehensive web-based survey. The aim of this survey was to collect feedback from DARIAH end-users, application/service providers and developers on their knowledge and background on e-Infrastructure (e.g. computational and storage resources, user-support services, authentication policies, etc.), on how research data (information) are shared and accessed, about AAI requirements, what services and application researchers are using in their research and what are their characteristics, etc. Based on the inputs, a set of specific A services and application will be developed, such as gUSE/WS-Pgrade workflow oriented gateway, gLibrary framework for distributed information repositories and information retrieval service based on CDSTAR. Concurrently with the application development, a significant working effort is put in the education of DARIAH researchers since many of them have minor or no technical knowledge required to efficiently use various e-Infrastructure resources or new application/services that will be developed during this project. Therefore, a set of training events will be organized to demonstrate the specific applications and services developed within EGI-DARIAH CC, as well as give a general introduction on how to utilize various EGI resources, applications and services.

U povodu pridruživanja Hrvatske Europskoj uniji Nacionalna i sveučilišna knjižnica u Zagrebu odabrana je kao knjižnica mjeseca u zajednici Europske knjižnice, koja obuhvaća 48 nacionalnih i brojne europske znanstvene knjižnice. Europska knjižnica (The European Library) besplatna je online usluga utemeljena 2005. godine, kada joj se među prvim knjižnicama pridružila i Nacionalna i sveučilišna knjižnica u Zagrebu, radi objedinjavanja zbirki i kataloga europskih nacionalnih i znanstvenih knjižnica, odnosno stvaranja skupnoga kataloga europske kulturne baštine, kao i pronalaženja i dohvaćanja više od 200 milijuna izvora te pružanja pristupa digitaliziranoj građi iz fondova knjižnica zemalja članica.

Knjižnica Etnografskoga muzeja je specijalna muzejska knjižnica, koja je, kao i većina specijalnih i muzejskih knjižnica, poluotvorenoga tipa i prvenstveno namijenjena djelatnicima Muzeja: kustosima, restauratorima i preparatorima. Formirana ubrzo nakon osnivanja muzeja, rasla je zajedno s muzejskim fundusom. U radu se opisuje njezina povijest, važniji fond i obrada građe te iznose neki problemi.

The field of digital humanities, a convergence of humanities and computer sciences, has recently become a growing focus of interest. The aim of this paper is to present basic concepts of digital humanities as they relate to music and musicology, as well as the term digital musicology, in order to encourage in Croatia a greater use of the new possibilities of research provided by this field. Based on A Companion to Digital Humanities (chapter Music by I. Fujinaga and S. Forscher Weiss), this overview includes the following subjects: notation software and optical music recognition (OMR); MIDI and MP3 as technical standards; databases; computer applications for music scholars; and music information retrieval (MIR) systems. For each subject, some basic sources and materials are offered and some (more or less) current activities and projects are presented, with special consideration of Croatian perspectives. Cilj je ovoga članka predstaviti osnovne pojmove digitalne humanistike u vezi s glazbom i muzikologijom, kao i pojam digitalne muzikologije, kako bi se potaknulo korištenje novih istraživačkih mogućnosti koje ovo područje nudi. U pregled su uključena sljedeća područja: programi za pisanje nota, uključujući optičko prepoznavanje glazbenih zapisa; tehnički standardi MIDI i MP3; baze podataka; računalne aplikacije za istraživanje glazbe; te sustavi za pristupanje podacima o glazbi. Za svako područje ponuđeni su osnovni izvori i materijali te su predstavljene neke od aktualnih aktivnosti i projekata.
