We present two new bijections between generalized Tamari intervals and non-separable maps. Our first construction proceeds via separating decompositions on simple bipartite quadrangulations (which are known to be in bijection with non-separable maps). It can be seen as an extension of the Bernardi-Bonichon bijection between Tamari intervals and minimal Schnyder woods. On the other hand, our second construction relies on a specialization of the Bernardi-Bonichon bijection to so-called synchronized Tamari intervals, which are known to be in one-to-one correspondence with generalized Tamari intervals. It yields a trivariate generating function expression that interpolates between the bivariate generating function for generalized Tamari intervals, and the univariate generating function for Tamari intervals. OBJECTIVE: The structure-function relation between magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and visual impairment (VI) in children with cerebral palsy (CP) has not been fully unravelled. The present systematic review aims to summarize the relation between brain lesions on MRI and VI in children and adolescents with CP. METHODS: PubMed, Embase, Web of Science Core Collection, and Cochrane Database were systematically searched according to the PRISMA checklist. A total of 45 articles met the inclusion criteria. RESULTS: White matter lesions were most frequently associated with VI. Only 25 studies described lesions within specific structures, mainly in the optic radiations. Only four studies reported on the thalamus. 8.4% of children with CP showed no brain abnormalities on MRI. Diffusion-weighted MRI studies showed that decreased structural connectivity in the optic radiations, superior longitudinal fasciculus, posterior limb of the internal capsule, and occipital lobe is associated with more severe VI. CONCLUSIONS: All types of brain lesions lead to visual dysfunctions, arguing for a comprehensive visual assessment in all children with CP. Lim; Jean-Marc Conan; Eleni Diamanti;Abstract Future quantum communication infrastructures will rely on both terrestrial and space-based links integrating high-performance optical systems engineered for this purpose. In space-based downlinks in particular, the loss budget and the variations in the signal propagation due to atmospheric turbulence effects impose a careful optimization of the coupling of light in single-mode fibers required for interfacing with the receiving stations and the ground networks. In this work, we perform a comprehensive study of the role of adaptive optics (AO) in this optimization, focusing on realistic baseline configurations of prepare-and-measure quantum key distribution (QKD), with both discrete and continuous-variable encoding, and including finite-size effects. Our analysis uses existing experimental turbulence datasets at both day and night time to model the coupled signal statistics following a wavefront distortion correction with AO, and allows us to estimate the secret key rate for a range of critical parameters, such as turbulence strength, satellite altitude and ground telescope diameter. The results we derive illustrate the interest of adopting advanced AO techniques in several practical configurations.

Specifically, we show that as the current passing through this system increases, a transition occurs, which is signified by the appearance of a characteristic zigzag pattern in the stationary density profile near the boundary. In this highly unusual transport phase, the local particle distribution alternates on every site between a thermal distribution and a Bose-condensed state with broken U(1)U(1)-symmetry. Furthermore, we show that the onset of this phase is closely related to the so-called non-Hermitian skin effect and coincides with an exceptional point in the spectrum of density fluctuations. Therefore, this effect establishes a direct connection between quantum transport, non-equilibrium condensation phenomena and non-Hermitian topology, which can be probed in cold-atom experiments or in systems with long-lived photonic, polaritonic and plasmonic excitations.

There is an automorphism of the algebra called spectral flow. Under spectral flow, the four fermions are transformed together. In this paper, we study {\it partial spectral flow} where only two of the four fermions are transformed. Partial spectral flow is applied to the D1D5 CFT where a marginal deformation moves the CFT away from the free point. The partial spectral flow is broken by the deformation. We show that this effect can be studied due to a transformation of the deformation which is well-defined under partial spectral flow. As a result in the spectrum, we demonstrate how to compute the second-order energy lift of D1D5P states from their partial spectral flowed states. We find that D1D5P states related by partial spectral flow do not have the same lift in general. 29 pages, 1 figure

Under suitable conditions, we prove a variational principle for the nonlinear pressure and we characterize the nonlinear equilibrium measures and relate them to specific classical equilibrium measures. In this non-linear thermodynamical formalism, which can, e.g., model mean-field approximation of large systems, several kind of phase transitions appear, some of which cannot happen in the linear case. We use our correspondence between non-linear and linear equilibrium measures to further the understanding of phase transitions, { both in previously known cases (Curie-Weiss and Potts models) and in} new examples (metastable phase transition). Finally, we apply some of the ideas introduced to the classical thermodynamical formalism, proving that freezing phase transitions can occur over \emph{any} zero-entropy invariant compact subset of the phase space. 44 pages several very nice figures

The ideals defined by these polynomials provide a strong connection with the combinatorics of Young tableaux and have been intensively studied by several authors. We initiate similar investigations for the ideals defined by the Specht polynomials associated to the hyperoctahedral group $B_n$. We introduce a bidominance order on bipartitions which describes the poset of inclusions of these ideals and study algebraic consequences on general $B_n$-invariant ideals and varieties, which can lead to computational simplifications. The associated conserved charges, which implement field-dependent coordinate transformations, are found to be identical to the corresponding generators in a symmetric product orbifold of $T\bar T$ - deformed CFTs. Their algebra is a non-linear modification of the $\mathrm{Virasoro \times Virasoro}$ algebra, which precisely coincides with the algebra of the "unrescaled" symmetry generators in $T\bar T$-deformed CFTs. This computational problem is tackled through the computation of so-called roadmaps which are real algebraic subsets of the set V under study, of dimension at most one, and which have a connected intersection with all semi-algebraically connected components of V. Algorithms for computing roadmaps rely on statements establishing connectivity properties of some well-chosen subsets of V , assuming that V is bounded. In this paper, we extend such connectivity statements by dropping the boundedness assumption on V. We present two new bijections between generalized Tamari intervals and non-separable maps. Our first construction proceeds via separating decompositions on simple bipartite quadrangulations (which are known to be in bijection with non-separable maps). It can be seen as an extension of the Bernardi-Bonichon bijection between Tamari intervals and minimal Schnyder woods. On the other hand, our second construction relies on a specialization of the Bernardi-Bonichon bijection to so-called synchronized Tamari intervals, which are known to be in one-to-one correspondence with generalized Tamari intervals. It yields a trivariate generating function expression that interpolates between the bivariate generating function for generalized Tamari intervals, and the univariate generating function for Tamari intervals. OBJECTIVE: The structure-function relation between magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and visual impairment (VI) in children with cerebral palsy (CP) has not been fully unravelled. The present systematic review aims to summarize the relation between brain lesions on MRI and VI in children and adolescents with CP. METHODS: PubMed, Embase, Web of Science Core Collection, and Cochrane Database were systematically searched according to the PRISMA checklist. A total of 45 articles met the inclusion criteria. RESULTS: White matter lesions were most frequently associated with VI. Only 25 studies described lesions within specific structures, mainly in the optic radiations. Only four studies reported on the thalamus. 8.4% of children with CP showed no brain abnormalities on MRI. Diffusion-weighted MRI studies showed that decreased structural connectivity in the optic radiations, superior longitudinal fasciculus, posterior limb of the internal capsule, and occipital lobe is associated with more severe VI. CONCLUSIONS: All types of brain lesions lead to visual dysfunctions, arguing for a comprehensive visual assessment in all children with CP. Lim; Jean-Marc Conan; Eleni Diamanti;Abstract Future quantum communication infrastructures will rely on both terrestrial and space-based links integrating high-performance optical systems engineered for this purpose. In space-based downlinks in particular, the loss budget and the variations in the signal propagation due to atmospheric turbulence effects impose a careful optimization of the coupling of light in single-mode fibers required for interfacing with the receiving stations and the ground networks. In this work, we perform a comprehensive study of the role of adaptive optics (AO) in this optimization, focusing on realistic baseline configurations of prepare-and-measure quantum key distribution (QKD), with both discrete and continuous-variable encoding, and including finite-size effects. Our analysis uses existing experimental turbulence datasets at both day and night time to model the coupled signal statistics following a wavefront distortion correction with AO, and allows us to estimate the secret key rate for a range of critical parameters, such as turbulence strength, satellite altitude and ground telescope diameter. The results we derive illustrate the interest of adopting advanced AO techniques in several practical configurations.

Specifically, we show that as the current passing through this system increases, a transition occurs, which is signified by the appearance of a characteristic zigzag pattern in the stationary density profile near the boundary. In this highly unusual transport phase, the local particle distribution alternates on every site between a thermal distribution and a Bose-condensed state with broken U(1)U(1)-symmetry. Furthermore, we show that the onset of this phase is closely related to the so-called non-Hermitian skin effect and coincides with an exceptional point in the spectrum of density fluctuations. Therefore, this effect establishes a direct connection between quantum transport, non-equilibrium condensation phenomena and non-Hermitian topology, which can be probed in cold-atom experiments or in systems with long-lived photonic, polaritonic and plasmonic excitations.

There is an automorphism of the algebra called spectral flow. Under spectral flow, the four fermions are transformed together. In this paper, we study {\it partial spectral flow} where only two of the four fermions are transformed. Partial spectral flow is applied to the D1D5 CFT where a marginal deformation moves the CFT away from the free point. The partial spectral flow is broken by the deformation. We show that this effect can be studied due to a transformation of the deformation which is well-defined under partial spectral flow. As a result in the spectrum, we demonstrate how to compute the second-order energy lift of D1D5P states from their partial spectral flowed states. We find that D1D5P states related by partial spectral flow do not have the same lift in general. 29 pages, 1 figure

Under suitable conditions, we prove a variational principle for the nonlinear pressure and we characterize the nonlinear equilibrium measures and relate them to specific classical equilibrium measures. In this non-linear thermodynamical formalism, which can, e.g., model mean-field approximation of large systems, several kind of phase transitions appear, some of which cannot happen in the linear case. We use our correspondence between non-linear and linear equilibrium measures to further the understanding of phase transitions, { both in previously known cases (Curie-Weiss and Potts models) and in} new examples (metastable phase transition). Finally, we apply some of the ideas introduced to the classical thermodynamical formalism, proving that freezing phase transitions can occur over \emph{any} zero-entropy invariant compact subset of the phase space. 44 pages several very nice figures

The ideals defined by these polynomials provide a strong connection with the combinatorics of Young tableaux and have been intensively studied by several authors. We initiate similar investigations for the ideals defined by the Specht polynomials associated to the hyperoctahedral group $B_n$. We introduce a bidominance order on bipartitions which describes the poset of inclusions of these ideals and study algebraic consequences on general $B_n$-invariant ideals and varieties, which can lead to computational simplifications. The associated conserved charges, which implement field-dependent coordinate transformations, are found to be identical to the corresponding generators in a symmetric product orbifold of $T\bar T$ - deformed CFTs. Their algebra is a non-linear modification of the $\mathrm{Virasoro \times Virasoro}$ algebra, which precisely coincides with the algebra of the "unrescaled" symmetry generators in $T\bar T$-deformed CFTs. This further strengthens a previously proposed link between the single-trace $T\bar T$ deformation and compactified little string theory. Comment: 31 + 19 pp

This computational problem is tackled through the computation of so-called roadmaps which are real algebraic subsets of the set V under study, of dimension at most one, and which have a connected intersection with all semi-algebraically connected components of V. Algorithms for computing roadmaps rely on statements establishing connectivity properties of some well-chosen subsets of V , assuming that V is bounded. In this paper, we extend such connectivity statements by dropping the boundedness assumption on V. This exploits properties of so-called generalized polar varieties, which are critical loci of V for some well-chosen polynomial maps. Comment: 26 pages, 23 figures
