International audience; After more than a decade online, the ArkeoGIS project illustrates the benefits of data sharing. Thanks to free software bricks, and with the precious help of the CNRS’s Huma-Num infrastructure, this spreadsheet sharing platform has shown its efficiency. Users can freely select their language, chronology and the data they wish to share. With over 100 database extracts from professionals, research grants and advanced students, the tool now offers more than 100,000 spatialized data units about the past - in the Upper Rhine valley and also worldwide depending on users’ needs. In this contribution, good practices, hindrances and accelerators of data sharing among archaeologists and (paleo-) environmentalists on the ArkeoGIS platform will be discussed, with the hope of generating more sharing in the digital humanities.

International audience; This paper presents the Nénufar project, which aims to make several successive (free of copyright up to 1948) editions of the French Petit Larousse Illustré dictionary available in a digitised format. The corpus of digital editions will be made publicly available via a web-based querying interface, as well as distributed in a machine readable format, TEI-LEX0.

This Scientific Vision aims to monitor the landscape of the setting up of the E-RIHS infrastructure, to describe the main scientific ambitions of E-RIHS in the coming years and to outline what pathways will be used to achieve them.The E-RIHS Scientific Vision will be the introduction of the E-RIHS Scientific and Technical description, one of the documents that will be produced to apply for the ERIC status.The first version of the E-RIHS Scientific Vision was elaborated in the framework of the task 9.1 “Excellence: priorities and strategy” of the WP9 of E-RIHS PP. European and national communities, as well as international partners, were widely consulted throughout the preparation process.A six pages flyer and a poster illustrating the Scientific Vision were also produced.

More and more cultural institutions use Linked Data principles to share and connect their collection metadata. In the archival field, initiatives emerge to exploit data contained in archival descriptions and adapt encoding standards to the semantic web. In this context, online authority files can be used to enrich metadata. However, relying on a decentralized network of knowledge bases such as Wikidata, DBpedia or even Viaf has its own difficulties. This paper aims to offer a critical view of these linked authority files by adopting a close-reading approach. Through a practical case study, we intend to identify and illustrate the possibilities and limits of RDF triples compared to institutions' less structured metadata. International audience; In this paper, we present an online communication-driven decision support system to align terms from a dataset with terms of another dataset (standardized controlled vocabulary or not). Heterotoki differs from existing proposals in that it takes place at the interface with humans, inviting the experts to commit on their definitions, so as to either agree to validate the mapping or to propose some enrichment to the terminologies. More precisely, differently to most of existing proposals that support terminology alignment, Heterotoki sustains the negotiation of meaning thanks to semantic coordination support within its interface design. This negotiation involves domain experts having produced multiple datasets.

International audience; CIDOC CRM is an ontology intended to facilitate the integration, mediation and interchange of heterogeneous cultural heritage information. The Semantic Web with its Linked Open Data cloud enables scholars and cultural institutions to publish their data in RDF, using CIDOC CRM as an interlingua that enables a semantically consistent re-interpretation of their data. Nowadays more and more projects have done the task of mapping legacy datasets to CIDOC CRM, and successful Extract-Transform-Load data-integration processes have been performed in this way. A next step is enabling people and applications to actually dynamically explore autonomous datasets using the semantic mediation offered by CIDOC CRM. This is the purpose of OpenArchaeo, a tool for querying archaeological datasets on the LOD cloud. We present its main features: the principles behind its user friendly query interface and its SPARQL Endpoint for programs, together with its overall architecture designed to be extendable and scalable, for handling transparent interconnections with evolving distributed sources while achieving good efficiency.

International audience; En guise de postface, il nous a semblé nécessaire de revenir sur le processus collaboratif de la fabrication de cet ouvrage et de vous confier la genèse de ce projet. Tout est parti d'un constat pragmatique, de nos situations quotidiennes de travail : le/la chercheur·e qui produit ou utilise des données a besoin de réponses concrètes aux questions auxquelles il/elle est confronté·e sur son terrain comme lors de tous ses travaux de recherche. Produire, exploiter, diffuser, partager ou éditer des sources numériques fait aujourd'hui partie de notre travail ordinaire. La rupture apportée par le développement du web et l'arrivée du format numérique ont largement facilité la diffusion et le partage des ressources (documentaires, textuelles, photographiques, sonores ou audiovisuelles...) dans le monde de la recherche et, au-delà, auprès des citoyens de plus en plus curieux et intéressés par les documents produits par les scientifiques.

International audience; Ce guide de bonnes pratiques éthiques et juridiques pour la diffusion des données en SHS est né de la réflexion d’un groupe de chercheurs, de professionnels de la documentation et de juristes structuré dans le cadre d’un groupe de travail Éthique et Droit. Face au renouvellement des problématiques liées aux droits d’auteurs, à la confidentialité, à la sécurisation et à la validation des données dans un contexte de mutation technologique, le groupe de travail Éthique et Droit a lancé un appel à communication ouvert à toutes les personnes s’intéressant aux problématiques éthiques et juridiques en matière de diffusion des données en SHS. Les auteurs ont été invités à proposer soit des retours d’expériences soit des articles portant sur les enjeux éthiques et juridiques en matière de diffusion des données en SHS, en explorant les solutions concrètes envisageables ou envisagées dans le cadre des cinq étapes de diffusion identifiées au préalable : la préparation de la recherche et l’anticipation de l’archivage ; la collecte des données ; le traitement, l’archivage et la description des données ; la diffusion des résultats de la recherche et la réutilisation des données.Il est important ici de souligner le caractère ambitieux de la démarche, à la fois prospective et réflexive, empirique et comparative, et surtout résolument pragmatique. Ce projet, labellisé par la Digital Research Infrastructure for the Arts and Humanities (DARIAH) en 2015 et financé par le Service commun de documentation (SCD) d’AMU, par la MMSH et par le consortium des ethnologues de la Très Grande Infrastructure de recherche (TGIR) Huma-Num a été supervisé par un comité scientifique qui s’est porté garant de la rigueur scientifique de la démarche.
