    Authors: Ora Matushansky;

    I will argue that contrary to the view generally adopted in Russian traditional grammars and much literature on Slavic, thematic suffixes do not form a uniform group either semantically or morphologically. I will demonstrate that even those thematic suffixes that seem to have no semantic import do not behave in a unified way expected from theme vowels and cannot have the same position in the verb structure.

    International audience; Rhyme enacts numerous relationships in poetic texts: relationships between words that share similar sounds; relationships between lines of verse that end in rhyming words; and relationships between the sound and semantic meaning of words that are linked together through rhyme. This panel brings together different approaches to using network analysis to understand the relationships that rhyme enacts in poetry in different language traditions. As the papers in this panel suggest, as one moves from considering rhyme’s function within a single poem to examining larger datasets, one can also consider how rhyme connects words, documents, and/or authors within a corpus. By juxtaposing papers focusing on poetry in Czech, English, Russian, and Spanish poetry, this panel highlights the fact that rhyme is defined differently in different linguistic and poetic contexts, due to the levels of inflection present in different languages and to the development of different poetic traditions. Some rhyme definitions focus on the shared stressed vowel of single syllables, others encompass polysyllabic rhyme, and others focus on component phonemes, rather than whole words. Thus computational approaches to rhyme must be tailored to the particular languages of the texts under study. The papers on this panel use different network analysis and graph visualization methods to examine rhyme at the level of the corpus or dataset, rather than the individual poem, in order to understand how rhyme practice changes over time, across languages, and in relation to literary canon formation. It thus contributes to both computational poetics and distant reading methodologies within the digital humanities.

    In cooperative game theory, the concept of interaction index is an extension of the concept of value, considering interaction among players. In this paper we focus on cardinal-probabilistic interaction indices which are generalizations of the class of semivalues. We provide two types of decompositions. With the first one, a cardinal-probabilistic interaction index for a given coalition equals the difference between its external interaction index (or co-Möbius transfom) and a weighted sum of the individual impact of the remaining players on the interaction index of the considered coalition. The second decomposition, based on the notion of the "decomposer", splits an interaction index into a direct part, the decomposer, which measures the interaction in the coalition considered, and an indirect part, which indicates how all remaining players individually affect the interaction of the coalition considered. We propose alternative characterization of the cardinal-probabilistic interaction indices. We then propose an illustration with a well-known example in Multicriteria Aid for Decisions.

    Este trabajo busca analizar las emociones que acompañaron los procesos identitarios de los españoles instalados en Francia. Se tratará así de entender en qué medida y de qué manera los afectos y sensibilidades de estos emigrantes influyeron, no solamente en la manera en la que estos construyeron su identidad de español expatriado sino en cómo estos (re)pensaron sus estrategias migratorias durante su estancia en el país vecino.

    Authors: Pinson, Daniel;

    Cet article pose et tente de répondre à une question mille fois posée : celle de l’avenir de nos villes. Rétrospectivement on constate qu’à chaque fois le décalage entre le rêve et la réalité a été grand, entre utopie et régression. Nous prenons aussi le risque de cette question mais, ici, nous ne tracerons pas tant « des plans sur la comète » que nous n’essaierons de dégager, à partir d’une critique des dérives inquiétantes aujourd’hui constatées (renforcement des inégalités, spéculations financières), à peine atténuées par des lueurs d’espoir bien réel (essor de l’économie de la connaissance), les orientations et actions, ambitieuses parce que modestes et réalistes, qu’il faudrait engager pour rendre nos établissements humains vivables pour les générations qui nous suivront.     Authors: Matras, Yaron; Adamou, Evangelia;

    Abstract Word classes show different degrees of sensitivity and susceptibility both to contact-induced language change (borrowing) and to language mixing in conversation (codeswitching). This contribution addresses the hierarchical nature of word-class arrangement as manifested in language contact settings. It reviews generalizations that have addressed the question of borrowing constraints on particular categories, and examines some of the features that accompany the integration of borrowed items in particular word classes. The chapter then examine some of the insights gained from the analysis of bilingual corpora and their implications for an explanatory model of borrowing and the status of word classes in contact-induced change.

    Authors: Allamel-Raffin, Catherine; Ancori, Bernard;

    First, we present a radical model of partipatory sciences, then we show that the knowledge produced in suchsciences is of a hybrid nature. Therefore this knowledge can be qualified as transdisciplinary, in the strong sensewhich underlines that it goes beyond any categorisation of constituted knowledge. This strong transdisciplinarityraises the question of the truth and objectivity of the statements thus produced. The answer to this double question conditions both the epistemic excellence and the social relevance of these statements. These last ones areintended to lead to actions meeting cognitive and social expectations of all stakeholders. Such a vocation impliesa new way of evaluating the knowledge involved, from the point of view of its epistemic relevance as well as itssocial relevanc; Après avoir présenté une conception radicale des recherches participatives, ce texte montre que les savoirs produits dans un tel cadre sont de nature hybride et peuvent être qualifiés de transdisciplinaires, au sens fort de ce qualificatif qui souligne que ces savoirs vont au-delà de toute catégorisation de savoirs constitués. Cette transdisciplinarité forte pose la question de la vérité et de l’objectivité des énoncés ainsi produits. La réponse à cette double question conditionne à la fois l’excellence épistémique et la pertinence sociale de ces énoncés, qui ont pour vocation de déboucher sur des actions aptes à répondre aux attentes cognitives et sociales de toutes les parties prenantes. Une telle vocation implique une conduite inédite de l’évaluation des savoirs impliqués, du point de vue de leur pertinence épistémique comme de celui de leur pertinence sociale.

    Authors: Huleux, François;

    La diversité biologique connaît un schéma d'érosion face auquel la communauté internationale tente de lutter. Depuis quelques années, les communautés locales et autochtones sont reconnues comme un modèle de conservation et d'utilisation durable de cette diversité. Elles recréent, expriment et transmettent des connaissances et pratiques de gestion des ressources naturelles depuis des temps immémoriaux pour certaines. En 2003, la Convention pour la sauvegarde du patrimoine culturel immatériel (ci-après « Convention PCI ») est adoptée afin de préserver ce patrimoine qui est lui aussi sur le point de disparaître en raison de l'acculturation, la mondialisation, la déforestation, etc. Malgré la relation d’interdépendance qui caractérise certains éléments du patrimoine culturel immatériel (ci-après « PCI ») avec les éléments matériels naturels auxquels ils sont associés, la Convention ne guide pas ses Parties vers la reconnaissance et préservation de cette relation. Plus précisément, elle ne guide pas ses Parties vers la conservation et l’utilisation durable de l’ensemble des éléments de la biodiversité nécessaires à la sauvegarde du PCI (réseau de vie). C’est pourquoi, certains pourraient s’interroger sur la capacité de la Convention PCI à sauvegarder le PCI associé à la biodiversité ? A l’heure de l’extinction des espèces et de la raréfaction des connaissances et pratiques « traditionnelles », il apparaît primordial de faire évoluer la mise en œuvre de la Convention par une révision de ses Directives opérationnelles chargées de préciser les engagements des Parties et régulièrement amendées par le Comité intergouvernemental de sauvegarde du PCI et l’Assemblé générale des États parties à la Convention vers une sauvegarde mieux adaptée au PCI associé à la biodiversité. L’approche par écosystème développée sous l’empire de la Convention sur la diversité biologique (ci-après « CDB ») dont les objectifs sont la conservation, l’utilisation durable de la biodiversité et le partage juste et équitable des avantages découlant de l’utilisation des ressources naturelles sert de base à cette proposition de révision des directives de la Convention PCI. L’approche permet de gérer des écosystèmes considérés comme des réseaux de vie dont les Hommes et la diversité culturelle sont un élément à part entière. The international community is trying to fight the current pattern of biodiversity erosion. In recent years, local and indigenous communities have been recognized as models in the conservation and sustainable use of biodiversity. Some of them have been recreating, expressing and transmitting knowledge and natural resources management practices for centuries. In 2003, the Convention for the Safeguarding of Intangible Cultural Heritage (hereinafter “ICH Convention”) was adopted in order to preserve this heritage, which is also on the verge of disappearing due to acculturation, globalization, deforestation, etc. Despite the interdependent relationship which characterizes certain elements of intangible cultural heritage (hereinafter “ICH”) with the natural material elements associated to it, the Convention does not guide its Parties towards the recognition and preservation of this unique relationship. More specifically, it does not guide them towards the conservation and sustainable use of the elements of biodiversity that are necessary to the safeguarding of ICH (considered as a network of life). This is why, some might question the capacity of the ICH Convention to safeguard ICH associated with biodiversity? At a time when species and tradition knowledge and practices are going extinct, it is essential to refine the implementation of the Convention by a revision of its Operational Directives responsible for specifying the commitments of the Parties – and which are regularly amended by the Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of ICH and the General Assemble of State Parties to the Convention – towards a better suited safeguarding of ICH associated with biodiversity. The ecosystem approach developed for the implementation of the Convention on Biological Diversity (hereinafter “CBD”) – whose objectives are the conservation, sustainable use of biodiversity and the fair and equitable sharing of the benefits obtained from the use of natural resources – is the basis for this proposal to revise the Operation Directives of the ICH Convention. This approach allows the sustainable management of ecosystems considered as being networks of life including humans and their biodiversity.

    International audience; Throughout adolescence, the school, family and peer group can play an influential role in a young person's psychological development and adjustment to school. This study focuses on the importance of the family during the adolescent period as it applies to developmental opportunities and the self-regulation necessary for the acquisition of psychological autonomy and new skills. How do adolescents perceive parental involvement? Does this parental support meet their need for autonomy and help adolescents acquire the necessary academic skills? This study examines the way in which French adolescents perceive the topic of homework and the interest their families show in it. Research is based on the parental involvement models of Epstein (2001) and Hoover-Dempsey and Sandler (1995), which focused on parental practices of monitoring schoolwork. These practices reflected the overall roles, involvement, and support of parents in their adolescent's education. On a voluntary basis, 504 adolescents aged 12−15 responded to a questionnaire, with questions adapted from the 'Child perceptions of parent's structuring and activities related to homework' (Cooper et al., 1998). The results of this study show that the perceived involvement and efficacy of parents have an effect on adolescents' self-regulation strategies. This parental interest, then, is implicitly passed on to the adolescent by way of parental homework assistance.

    Authors: Ora Matushansky;

    Authors: Pinson, Daniel;

    Cet article pose et tente de répondre à une question mille fois posée : celle de l’avenir de nos villes. Rétrospectivement on constate qu’à chaque fois le décalage entre le rêve et la réalité a été grand, entre utopie et régression. Nous prenons aussi le risque de cette question mais, ici, nous ne tracerons pas tant « des plans sur la comète » que nous n’essaierons de dégager, à partir d’une critique des dérives inquiétantes aujourd’hui constatées (renforcement des inégalités, spéculations financières), à peine atténuées par des lueurs d’espoir bien réel (essor de l’économie de la connaissance), les orientations et actions, ambitieuses parce que modestes et réalistes, qu’il faudrait engager pour rendre nos établissements humains vivables pour les générations qui nous suivront.

    Authors: Huleux, François;

    Authors: Oubrayrie-Roussel, Nathalie; Safont-Mottay, Claire;
