    International audience; This article explains how the introduction of a digital tool has profoundly transformed a research approach that aimed to study Mediterranean populations from demographic, geographical and statistical perspectives. The authors first present the digital platform that enabled the project to bring together researchers from different disciplines to discuss their subject. The presentation of the digital tool we developed is an opportunity to remind that technological choices are disciplinary choices. Finally, the article describes the effects of these technological choices on research methods, showing how our conversations about a tool led to a hybridization of disciplines and ultimately to an original research approach, which was not simply interdisciplinary, but truly transdisciplinary.; Cet article explique comment l’introduction d’un outil numérique a profondément transformé une démarche de recherche qui se proposait d’étudier les populations méditerranéennes sous l’angle de la démographie, de la géographie et des statistiques. Cette plateforme numérique a permis au projet de faire dialoguer les chercheurs des différentes disciplines autour de leur objet d’étude. La présentation de l’outil numérique développé est l’occasion de rappeler que les choix technologiques sont avant tout disciplinaires. Ces choix technologiques ont des effets sur les méthodes de recherche : le partage autour d’un outil a mené à une hybridation des disciplines et in fine à une démarche de recherche originale, non simplement interdisciplinaire, mais réellement transdisciplinaire.

    International audience; Zusammenfassung Bei der Ausgrabung am Standort des Schulzentrums der Stadt Lesmont (Aube, GrandEst) konnten u.a. spätbronzezeitliche Siedlungsstrukturen beobachtet werden, ein kleiner Pfostenbau, ein Silo, einige Nebenbauten sowie fünf mehrlappige Gruben unterschiedlicher Größe. Letztere wurden vollständig ergraben. In der größten Grube wurde der etappenweise Abbau von Rohmaterial beobachtet. Wir haben festgestellt, dass der Abbau in der Randzone beginnt und sich zunehmend der Mitte nähert und dass der Abfall mit den Materialgewinnungsphasen chronologisch übereinstimmt. Die aufgezeigte globale Berücksichtigung der Rhythmen und der Datierungsvorschläge bewegt uns letztendlich, dem Konzept Braudels folgend mehrere Zeitebenen zu unterscheiden.; The excavation conducted at the building site of a school in Lesmont (Aube, GrandEst) revealed, among other features, an occupation dated to the Final Bronze Age. The site includes a small building on posts, a silo, a few peripheral structures, and five polylobed pits of various sizes. The latter were carefully excavated. Inside the largest pit, we observed the successive stages of a sediment extraction. This extraction began on the periphery and continued toward the center, and the artifact waste products are contemporary with the phases of sediment extraction. Based on a global consideration of the phases observed and the proposed dates, we distinguish different time periods following the canonical Braudélien model.; La fouille menée à l'emplacement du projet de pôle scolaire de la mairie de Lesmont (Aube, GrandEst) a permis d'observer, entre autres, une occupation datée de l'âge du Bronze final. Elle est caractérisée par la présence d'un petit bâtiment sur poteaux, d'un silo, de quelques structures périphériques, mais également de cinq fosses polylobées de tailles variables. Ces dernières ont fait l'objet d'une fouille méthodique. Dans la plus grande d'entre elles, la succession des étapes dans l'extraction des matériaux a été observée. Nous avons constaté que le prélèvement commence à la périphérie pour se rapprocher du centre et que les rejets de mobilier sont contemporains des phases d'extraction de sédiment. La prise en compte globale des rythmes mis en évidence et des propositions de datation nous incite, à terme, à distinguer des temporalités différentes, en suivant le modèle braudélien canonique.

    Authors: ROCHAIX, Valrie;

     La lacit fait maintenant partie du patrimoine franais , crit en 2000 Jean Baubrot, historien et sociologue de la lacit. A partir de travaux antrieurs sur la construction linguistique du patrimoine (Rochaix, 2017, 2020) mens dans le cadre de la Smantique des Possibles Argumentatifs (Galatanu, 2018), nous articulons, en conservant le mme dispositif thorique, lacit et patrimoine culturel en tant que valeurs sociales complexes, dans le sens o elles vhiculent ds le niveau lexical des valeurs modales dont axiologiques, antagonistes qui facilitent divers dploiements idologiques en discours. partir de lassertion de Baubrot, nous interrogeons la lacit comme objet du patrimoine culturel comme objet smantique et conceptuel tel quil peut tre construit partir des dictionnaires de langue puis confrontons ces reprsentations aux dploiements discursifs de la notion dans un objet didactique institutionnel, le dossier pdagogique consacr la lacit, construit destination des enseignants partir du fonds de la Bibliothque Nationale de France (classes.bnf). Secularism is now part of French heritage , wrote Jean Baubrot, historian and sociologist of secularism, in 2000. Based on previous works on the linguistic construction of heritage (Rochaix, 2017, 2020) conducted within the framework of the Semantics of Argumentative Possibilities (Galatanu, 2018), we articulate, keeping the same theoretical device, secularism and cultural heritage as complex social values, in the sense that they convey, from the lexical level, modal values including antagonistic axiological ones that facilitate various ideological deployments in discourse. From Baubrots assertion, we question secularism as an object of cultural heritage as a semantic and conceptual object as it can be constructed from language dictionaries and then confront these representations with the discursive deployments of the notion in an institutional didactic material : the file dedicated to secularism among the classes of the bnf, constructed for teachers from the collection of the Bibliothque Nationale de France. International audience; Traditional paper making in the village of Kurotani in the mountains north of Kyoto has been the subject of research and interviews for the past fifteen years by Y. Yonehara and, when one of us (F. Joulian) proposed an anthropographic investigation of Waza in Japan, this field seemed ideal to explore this new approach involving an artist, a designer, an anthropologist and a mangaka in the same field.was to explore, according to distinct experiences and disciplinary points of view, different types of recording techniques: notes and sound recordings, photos, videos, and drawings, in order to describe the original art of these artisans, their Waza, which is captured in the very place where the craft is practiced and in its current conditions and constraints.The article we have written is articulated with other productions (videos, photos and a drawn catalog in addition to an exhibition) that complement it using different media. It explores these particular skills from the point of view of their patrimonialization (they are classified as intangible heritage) and the positive or negative effects that this can have on the sustainability of the skills of the activity, but also in the articulation of this profession with the different sectors and other professions that it conditions and that condition it and on which we have also investigated (printing, fusuma, karakami, lanterns…). Two examples allow us to grasp the life of paper, from the tree to the object, and, through different trades, to question the articulation of different knowledge, their kinship, their segmentation or their continuity, but also to question ourselves on the material itself worked and how it brings with it, gestures, requirements and common commitments.The dialogue with this particular material, which transforms itself as it is worked, comes from the pulp of mulberry (kozo) and water, via simple instruments (cauldrons, sinks, frames, dryers) but also from subtle processual and gestural recipes. Does this dialogue with the material engage the artisans in the same bath of values, demands, and pleasures of making, conducive to the maintenance of Waza, or conversely, to circumscribing and weakening it?ill the cultural recognition and the national and international demands for this type of paper ensure the sustainability of the processes? Are the instruments or associated technical systems (steel knives, the natural glue of tororo aoi roots, the mutualization of regional knowledge by the union…), sufficiently stable and robust to keep the activity attractive for the younger generations? The Waza of washi artisans is of course also affected by these external factors, which are difficult to photograph or draw, and our “anthropographic” exploration, beyond the challenge of capturing the craft and the original gestures of the artisans, is also to express the different analytical and narrative virtues of the text, the image or the drawing, and to sketch out a true “multimedia” and scientific proposal, from the recording in the field to its public dissemination.; La fabrication traditionnelle de papier dans le village de Kurotani dans les montagnes au nord de Kyoto a fait l’objet de recherches et d’entretiens depuis une quinzaine d’années par Y. Yonehara et, lorsque l’un d’entre nous (F. Joulian) a proposé une enquête anthropographique sur le waza au Japon, ce terrain a semblé idéal pour explorer cette nouvelle démarche impliquant sur un même terrain, une artiste, un designer, un anthropologue et un mangaka. L’enjeu du terrain est ici d’explorer, selon des expériences et points de vue disciplinaires distincts des techniques d’enregistrement de différentes natures : notes et enregistrements sonores, photo, vidéo, et dessins, afin de décrire l’art original de ces artisans, leur waza, que l’on capture sur le lieu même d’exercice du métier et dans ses conditions et contraintes actuelles.L’article que nous avons rédigé s’articule avec d’autres productions (vidéos, photos et un catalogue dessiné en plus d’une exposition) qui viennent le compléter en utilisant différents médias. Il explore ces savoir-faire particuliers sous l’angle de leur patrimonialisation (ils sont classés au rang du patrimoine immatériel) et des effets positifs ou négatifs que cela peut entraîner dans le cadre de la pérennité même des savoir-faire de l’activité, mais également dans l’articulation de ce métier aux différentes filières et autres métiers qu’il conditionne et qui le conditionnent et sur lesquels nous avons également enquêté (imprimerie, fusuma, karakami, lanternes…). Deux exemples nous permettent de saisir la vie du papier, de l’arbre à l’objet, et, à travers différents métiers, de nous interroger sur l’articulation des différents savoirs, sur leur parenté, leur segmentation ou leur continuité mais aussi de nous questionner sur la matière même travaillée et en quoi elle entraîne avec elle, gestes, exigences et des engagements communs.Le dialogue avec cette matière particulière, qui se transforme au fur et à mesure qu’elle se travaille, est issu de la pulpe des mûriers (kozo) et de l’eau, via des instrumentations simples (chaudrons, éviers, cadres, séchoirs) mais aussi des recettes processuelles et gestuelles subtiles. Ce dialogue avec la matière engage-t-il les artisans dans un même bain de valeurs, d’exigences, de plaisirs de faire, propices au maintien du waza, ou à l’inverse, à le circonscrire et le fragiliser ? La reconnaissance culturelle et les demandes nationales et internationales pour ce type de papier assureront-elles la pérennité des processus ? Les instruments ou les systèmes techniques associés (couteaux d’acier, la colle naturelle des racines de tororo aoi, la mutualisation des savoirs régionaux par le syndicat…), sont-ils suffisamment stables et robustes pour garder l’activité attractive pour les jeunes générations ? Le waza des artisans du washi est bien sûr aussi affecté par ces facteurs externes, difficilement saisissables par la photographie ou le dessin et notre exploration « anthropographique », par-delà l’enjeu de capturer le métier et les gestes inédits des artisans, consiste également à dire les différentes vertus analytiques et narratives du texte, de l’image ou du dessin, et d’esquisser une véritable proposition « multimédiatique » et scientifique, de l’enregistrement à sa diffusion publique.

    Bâtir l’interopérabilité des données archéologiques avec un vocabulaire normalisé et partagé est la perspective adoptée par le projet HyperThesau (Labex IMU [Intelligences des mondes urbains], université de Lyon). Comme preuve de concept est amorcé un thésaurus pivot, qui permet d’aligner les concepts de l’archéologie sur les systèmes internationaux d’organisation des connaissances, avec les technologies du Web sémantique. Ce thésaurus doit servir à la description, à l’enregistrement, à l’indexation et à l’extraction de données au sein d’un vaste écosystème numérique : métadonnées, bases de données, catalogues de bibliothèques, bibliothèques numériques, signalement des dépôts sur différentes plateformes.La problématique du traitement informatique et documentaire des données archéologiques implique que le langage devienne lui-même un objet d’étude. La méthode mise en œuvre pour construire ce thésaurus a consisté à recueillir, à traiter et à structurer le vocabulaire de cette discipline en délogeant l’implicite et en décloisonnant les classifications archéologiques. Un thésaurus peut être un outil de réconciliation entre recherche et sciences de l’information. Il est aussi porteur de réflexions méthodologiques, ouvrant sur d’intéressantes perspectives historiographiques.https://journals.openedition.org/revuehn/2384 The HyperThesau project (IMU Labex, University of Lyon) aims at building archaeological data interoperability through a standardised, shared vocabulary. As proof of concept, it initiates a pivot thesaurus, which maps the concepts of archeology on to international knowledge organisation systems, using semantic Web technologies. This thesaurus should be used for data processing, recording, crawling and retrieval within a vast digital ecosystem: metadata, databases, library catalogs, digital libraries and platforms.The computer and documentary processing of archaeological data implies that language itself becomes a study topic. The method used to build this thesaurus consisted in collecting, processing and structuring archaeological vocabulary by trying to determine the underlying meaning of the terms and building bridges between the classifications used by archaeologists and current knowledge organisation systems. A thesaurus can be a tool for reconciling research and information science. It also feeds methodological reflections, opening interesting historiographical perspectives.https://journals.openedition.org/revuehn/2384 International audience

    Authors: Stéphane Benoist;

    Les biographies impériales, rédigées du IIe siècle antonin au tournant théososien des IVe et Ve siècles, livrent une approche orientée de la figure des princes qu’il convient d’interroger en prenant l’univers festif comme expression privilégiée des linéaments du discours impérial élaboré dans l’entourage des empereurs, d’Auguste à Dioclétien ou Constantin, destinataires fictifs de certaines uitae principum. Suétone, l’Histoire Auguste et les abréviateurs tardifs offrent ainsi de nombreux exemples d’une pratique systématique de caractérisation des principats qui utilise à dessein comportements privés et politiques publiques, ludi et spectacula, passions et pratiques personnelles, afin de colorer les diverses personae impériales pour départager boni et mali principes. Même si les portraits ne sont pas univoques et ménagent des situations ambiguës, ils concourent à révéler les tensions politiques et sociales et les limites de certaines conceptions de la statio principis, quand les frontières se diluent, remettant ainsi en cause le mos maiorum, de la norme à l’excès. The Imperial biographies written between the Antonine 2nd century CE to the Theodosian end of the 4th c. and the beginning of the 5th c. deliver an original approach of the Imperial characters. We can analyze those portraits through the conception of a festivals and ceremonies universe to understand the so-called “Imperial discourse” created within the emperors’ entourage, from Augustus to Diocletian and Constantine who were fictitious addressees of various uitae principum from the Historia Augusta. Suetonius, the so-called Historia Augusta and the late abbreviators present many examples of a systematic practice to consider Principates by using private behaviors and public politics, ludi and spectacula, passions and personal customs, in order to characterize the various Imperial personae and sharing between good and bad emperors. Even if portraits are not univocal and can present ambiguous situations, they aim to reveal social troubles and the limits of peculiar conceptions of the statio principis when frontiers disappear and the tradition is questioned, between norms and excess.

    Authors: Duteil, Carine; Richard, Arnaud; Longhi, Julien;

    Cet article s’intéresse aux discours traitant du sport (politique, institutionnel, olympique, etc.) ainsi qu’aux discours issus de pratiques sportives (forums, réseaux sociaux et applications dédiées au sport), afin de questionner les valeurs de l’Olympisme et la manière dont elles sont mises en discours et polarisées. Le corpus est composé de textes institutionnels majeurs (chartes et codes essentiellement). Son étude est complétée par l’analyse d’un second corpus comprenant des « posts » diffusés sur les forums et réseaux sociaux sportifs ainsi que des publications relatives à la communauté Strava. Nous décrivons comment les textes qui régissent l’Olympisme formulent une topique instituante, et comment le sens des valeurs évolue à travers l’actualisation discursive, dans des contextes renvoyant à la pratique du sport amateur. Nous interrogeons en particulier le Respect, l’Amitié et l’Excellence (les trois valeurs essentielles revendiquées par le mouvement olympisme) et leurs liens avec d’autres valeurs (la paix entre les peuples, l’égalité, la solidarité, l’intégrité). L'analyse discursive in situ permet de cerner les enjeux de la reconfiguration de ces fondamentaux dans les pratiques numériques des amateurs, autour du fair-play, de la performance, et plus généralement de ce qui est entendu par « valeurs du sport ». This article focuses on discourses dealing with sport (political, institutional, Olympic, etc.) as well as discourses coming from sport experiences (forums, social networks and applications dedicated to sport), in order to question the values of Olympism and the way they are put into discourse and polarized. The corpus is composed of major institutional texts (mainly charters and codes). Its study is completed by the analysis of a second corpus comprising "posts" disseminated on sports forums and social networks as well as publications relating to the Strava community. We describe how the texts governing Olympism formulate an instituting topique, and how the meaning of values evolves through discursive actualisation, in contexts referring to the practice of amateur sport. In particular, we examine Respect, Friendship and Excellence (the three core values claimed by the Olympic movement) and their links with other values (peace between peoples, equality, solidarity, integrity). The discursive analysis in situ allows us to identify the reconfiguration of these fundamentals in the digital practices of amateurs, around fair play, performance, and more generally what is understood by "sport values".

    International audience; The novel by the Margueritte brothers, La Commune (1904), offers us a vision of the Parisian insurrection of 1871 through a rather modern novelistic form, which multiplies the narrative points of view and inspires reflection on history and memory. Placing various historians on the historical stage, the novel probes the capacity of knowledge and thought to resist the crises of history, while proposing a dispassionate reading of the event using fiction.; Le roman des frères Margueritte, La Commune (1904), nous propose une vision de l’insurrection parisienne de 1871 par le biais d’une forme romanesque assez moderne, qui multiplie les points de vue narratifs et initie une réflexion sur l’histoire et la mémoire. En mettant en scène diverses figures d’historiens, le roman s’interroge sur la capacité du savoir et de la pensée à résister aux crises de l’histoire, tout en proposant, par la fiction, une lecture dépassionnée de l’événement.

    International audience; This article explains how the introduction of a digital tool has profoundly transformed a research approach that aimed to study Mediterranean populations from demographic, geographical and statistical perspectives. The authors first present the digital platform that enabled the project to bring together researchers from different disciplines to discuss their subject. The presentation of the digital tool we developed is an opportunity to remind that technological choices are disciplinary choices. Finally, the article describes the effects of these technological choices on research methods, showing how our conversations about a tool led to a hybridization of disciplines and ultimately to an original research approach, which was not simply interdisciplinary, but truly transdisciplinary.; Cet article explique comment l’introduction d’un outil numérique a profondément transformé une démarche de recherche qui se proposait d’étudier les populations méditerranéennes sous l’angle de la démographie, de la géographie et des statistiques. Cette plateforme numérique a permis au projet de faire dialoguer les chercheurs des différentes disciplines autour de leur objet d’étude. La présentation de l’outil numérique développé est l’occasion de rappeler que les choix technologiques sont avant tout disciplinaires. Ces choix technologiques ont des effets sur les méthodes de recherche : le partage autour d’un outil a mené à une hybridation des disciplines et in fine à une démarche de recherche originale, non simplement interdisciplinaire, mais réellement transdisciplinaire.

    International audience; Zusammenfassung Bei der Ausgrabung am Standort des Schulzentrums der Stadt Lesmont (Aube, GrandEst) konnten u.a. spätbronzezeitliche Siedlungsstrukturen beobachtet werden, ein kleiner Pfostenbau, ein Silo, einige Nebenbauten sowie fünf mehrlappige Gruben unterschiedlicher Größe. Letztere wurden vollständig ergraben. In der größten Grube wurde der etappenweise Abbau von Rohmaterial beobachtet. Wir haben festgestellt, dass der Abbau in der Randzone beginnt und sich zunehmend der Mitte nähert und dass der Abfall mit den Materialgewinnungsphasen chronologisch übereinstimmt. Die aufgezeigte globale Berücksichtigung der Rhythmen und der Datierungsvorschläge bewegt uns letztendlich, dem Konzept Braudels folgend mehrere Zeitebenen zu unterscheiden.; The excavation conducted at the building site of a school in Lesmont (Aube, GrandEst) revealed, among other features, an occupation dated to the Final Bronze Age. The site includes a small building on posts, a silo, a few peripheral structures, and five polylobed pits of various sizes. The latter were carefully excavated. Inside the largest pit, we observed the successive stages of a sediment extraction. This extraction began on the periphery and continued toward the center, and the artifact waste products are contemporary with the phases of sediment extraction. Based on a global consideration of the phases observed and the proposed dates, we distinguish different time periods following the canonical Braudélien model.; La fouille menée à l'emplacement du projet de pôle scolaire de la mairie de Lesmont (Aube, GrandEst) a permis d'observer, entre autres, une occupation datée de l'âge du Bronze final. Elle est caractérisée par la présence d'un petit bâtiment sur poteaux, d'un silo, de quelques structures périphériques, mais également de cinq fosses polylobées de tailles variables. Ces dernières ont fait l'objet d'une fouille méthodique. Dans la plus grande d'entre elles, la succession des étapes dans l'extraction des matériaux a été observée. Nous avons constaté que le prélèvement commence à la périphérie pour se rapprocher du centre et que les rejets de mobilier sont contemporains des phases d'extraction de sédiment. La prise en compte globale des rythmes mis en évidence et des propositions de datation nous incite, à terme, à distinguer des temporalités différentes, en suivant le modèle braudélien canonique.

    Authors: Stéphane Benoist;

    Authors: Duteil, Carine; Richard, Arnaud; Longhi, Julien;

    Cet article s’intéresse aux discours traitant du sport (politique, institutionnel, olympique, etc.) ainsi qu’aux discours issus de pratiques sportives (forums, réseaux sociaux et applications dédiées au sport), afin de questionner les valeurs de l’Olympisme et la manière dont elles sont mises en discours et polarisées. Le corpus est composé de textes institutionnels majeurs (chartes et codes essentiellement). Son étude est complétée par l’analyse d’un second corpus comprenant des « posts » diffusés sur les forums et réseaux sociaux sportifs ainsi que des publications relatives à la communauté Strava. Nous décrivons comment les textes qui régissent l’Olympisme formulent une topique instituante, et comment le sens des valeurs évolue à travers l’actualisation discursive, dans des contextes renvoyant à la pratique du sport amateur. Nous interrogeons en particulier le Respect, l’Amitié et l’Excellence (les trois valeurs essentielles revendiquées par le mouvement olympisme) et leurs liens avec d’autres valeurs (la paix entre les peuples, l’égalité, la solidarité, l’intégrité). L'analyse discursive in situ permet de cerner les enjeux de la reconfiguration de ces fondamentaux dans les pratiques numériques des amateurs, autour du fair-play, de la performance, et plus généralement de ce qui est entendu par « valeurs du sport ». This article focuses on discourses dealing with sport (political, institutional, Olympic, etc.) as well as discourses coming from sport experiences (forums, social networks and applications dedicated to sport), in order to question the values of Olympism and the way they are put into discourse and polarized. The corpus is composed of major institutional texts (mainly charters and codes). Its study is completed by the analysis of a second corpus comprising "posts" disseminated on sports forums and social networks as well as publications relating to the Strava community. We describe how the texts governing Olympism formulate an instituting topique, and how the meaning of values evolves through discursive actualisation, in contexts referring to the practice of amateur sport. In particular, we examine Respect, Friendship and Excellence (the three core values claimed by the Olympic movement) and their links with other values (peace between peoples, equality, solidarity, integrity). The discursive analysis in situ allows us to identify the reconfiguration of these fundamentals in the digital practices of amateurs, around fair play, performance, and more generally what is understood by "sport values".

    International audience; The novel by the Margueritte brothers, La Commune (1904), offers us a vision of the Parisian insurrection of 1871 through a rather modern novelistic form, which multiplies the narrative points of view and inspires reflection on history and memory. Placing various historians on the historical stage, the novel probes the capacity of knowledge and thought to resist the crises of history, while proposing a dispassionate reading of the event using fiction.; Le roman des frères Margueritte, La Commune (1904), nous propose une vision de l’insurrection parisienne de 1871 par le biais d’une forme romanesque assez moderne, qui multiplie les points de vue narratifs et initie une réflexion sur l’histoire et la mémoire. En mettant en scène diverses figures d’historiens, le roman s’interroge sur la capacité du savoir et de la pensée à résister aux crises de l’histoire, tout en proposant, par la fiction, une lecture dépassionnée de l’événement.
