  • The article seeks to examine the new historical approaches to the pragmatism in research on reception in cinema taking into account the cultural and social goals, the problem of circulation, as well as the conditions of their screening. Making explicit reference to the perspective proposed by Mich��le Lagny as exemplary, this article presents the micro-histories of cinema as the basis of pragmatic historical approaches to the animation of film culture insofar as they theorize the circulation of old classical copies in the studio cinemas. The study analyzes the development of interest in the various examples of studio cinemas in Pozna�� as a part of the vicissitudes of the film series Cinema of Classical Film screened at the Cultural Center ���Zamek��� in Pozna�� and subsequently Orbis Pictus promoting in both cases a return to classical works. The paper discusses the transition of cinephiles to cinema managers, by examing the semi-professional ���grassroots��� initiatives to re-runs to the classical film, considering the diversity of the social functions of cinema and the wide range of mass film uses in attracting the audience
