  • ICOS Carbon Portal offers free access to high-quality and standardised greenhouse gas data, as well as to scientific and educational products and services. The Carbon Portal is a ‘one-stop shop’ for all ICOS data products. Carbon Portal manages data security, enforcement of the ICOS data policy, with user-friendly (and machine-friendly) internet- and other computer-network based interfaces. It organises long-term archiving of ICOS data products to guarantee their safe storage, future access and easy re-use. FAIR data handling is the key for the high ICOS data quality. ICOS has created a transparent, documented and reproducible process throughout the data life cycle: from the measurements at the station via the Thematic Centres and the ICOS Carbon Portal to the user. All data distributed from the stations and going through the Central Facilities, are distributed in Carbon Portal. We are following the international developments in FAIR data management to build interoperable systems and make ICOS data free available in a transparent way. The Carbon Portal is hosted by the Lund University in Sweden and Wageningen University in the Netherlands.

  • H-Invitational Database (H-InvDB) is an integrated database of human genes and transcripts. By extensive analyses of all human transcripts, we provide curated annotations of human genes and transcripts that include gene structures, alternative splicing variants, non-coding functional RNAs, protein functions, functional domains, sub-cellular localizations, metabolic pathways, protein 3D structure, genetic polymorphisms (SNPs, indels and microsatellite repeats) , relation with diseases, gene expression profiling, and molecular evolutionary features , protein-protein interactions (PPIs) and gene families/groups.

  • POcket Similarity Search Using Multiple-Sketches (PoSSuM) includes all the discovered protein-small molecule binding site pairs with annotations of various types (e.g., UniProt, CATH, SCOP, SCOPe, EC number and Gene ontology). PoSSuM enables rapid exploration of similar binding sites among structures with different global folds as well as similar folds. Moreover, PoSSuM is useful for predicting the binding ligand for unbound structures.

  • The NITE Biological Resource Center Culture Catalogue (NBRC) collects potentially useful biological resources (microorganisms and cloned genes) and distributes them to promote basic researches as well as industrial applications. Information includes the source of isolation, culture conditions, literature and sequence by searching for strains using NBRC number or scientific name. Closely related strains can be discovered by performing a homology search using sequence data.

  • SSBD is a two-tiered data resource comprising SSBD:repository, a public repository for the sharing of all types of bioimaging data reported in journals, and SSBD:database, an added-value database for the sharing of curated, highly reusable data with rich metadata. It also shares large amounts of biosystems dynamics data obtained via image analysis or computer simulation.

  • The RDF Portal provides a collection of life science datasets in RDF (Resource Description Framework). The portal aims to accelerate integrative utilization of the heterogeneous datasets deposited by various research institutions and groups. In this portal, each dataset comes with a summary, downloadable files and a SPARQL endpoint.
