Marvell Studies publishes original essays, shorter articles, notes, and reviews with the purpose of advancing scholarship on Andrew Marvell and his milieu. The journal builds on more than half a decade of online commentary collected under the auspices of the Andrew Marvell Society. By founding a peer-reviewed journal in Marvell’s name, we are staking a claim to Marvell’s stature as a writer perhaps second only to Milton in his time, important as much to the history of liberty as the history of literature. In choosing open access, we honour the collaborative nature of Marvell studies and of the Marvell Society, which brings together scholars from around the globe – from the US and the UK, Australia, Canada, France, Italy, the Netherlands, and Japan – and facilitates intellectual exchange with increasing reach. The Journal of Circadian Rhythms is an open access, peer-reviewed online journal that publishes research articles dealing with circadian and nycthemeral (daily) rhythms in living organisms, including processes associated with photoperiodism and daily torpor. The Journal of Circadian Rhythms aims to include both basic and applied research at any level of biological organization (molecular, cellular, organic, organismal, and populational). Studies of daily rhythms in environmental factors that directly affect circadian rhythms are also pertinent to the journal's mission.

JIME is a peer reviewed open access online journal in educational technology that focuses on the implications and use of digital media in education. It aims to foster a multidisciplinary and intellectually rigorous debate on both the theory and practice of interactive media in education. JIME was launched in September, 1996.

Continuity in Education is an open access, peer reviewed journal for the education of children and young people with medical and mental health needs. In line with a biopsychosocial model of health, education and psychological development, the journal reports on different contexts, which may include education in a hospital community or home setting, in urban or rural areas, within different educational systems or structures, across different countries, jurisdictions, and socio-cultural settings, and during different life phases of the individual. The journal aims to focus on the interactions between education and human development in the fields of well-being, resilience, future life choices and opportunities, social and emotional well-being, cognitive and metacognitive learning strategies, and mental health improvement. The journal is open to all contributions that deepen the concept of learning and education as protective factors in the life of young people facing adversities. The concept of continuity in education is also extended to education delivered in other contexts where children and families are living with some kind of disruptive event in their life.

The journal is dedicated to general linguistics. It publishes contributions from all areas of linguistics, provided they contain theoretical implications that shed light on the nature of language and the language faculty. Contributions should be of interest to all linguists, independently of their own specialisation. No specific linguistic theories or trends are given preference. Papers accepted for publication are strictly selected on the basis of scientific quality and scholarly standing.

The Journal of Conservation and Museum Studies is fully peer reviewed and Open Access. It contains research on conservation science, artefact studies, restoration, museum studies, environment studies, collection management and curation. Published from the UCL Institute of Archaeology from 1996 to 2002, the journal was relaunched in 2011 in collaboration with the British Library, with a newly constituted international editorial board.

UCL Press offers the OJS hosting service for UCL students and staff to produce and manage their own Open Access journals. Using Open Journal Systems software, journal articles are stored in UCL Discovery, while OJS provides the visible presentation layer of the journal. This service is provided free of charge by UCL Press.
